Great Swiss
death metal. Cropment is here to say brutality is alive and well in the land of
clocks and cheese! These guys remind me a little of Hypnos, only more brutal,
flawlessly melding slower double-bass sections with speedy blastbeats. Not to
forget the bludgeoning, razor-sharp guitars and some sick, Deicide-ish dual
high/low growls. Not much else to say. By no means are these guys original, but
they get the job done and then some!

Cyst has
masterfully combined the best of old school and modern metal. This is quite
simply the most intense thrash album since Slayer's Reign In Blood. The speed is
blistering, the power is overwhelming. Musically, it is crisp, tight, and very
well written. Cyst adds to their traditional thrash metal sounds a healthy dose
of death metal influence. The vocals go back and forth in their thrash and death
metal influences, and Cyst adds some blast beats that leave most death metal
bands eating their dust. This is a refreshing reminder of what metal can and
should be.
