is definitely the best thing they've done during their long and storied career
in the underground. Now signed to upstart Deathgasm Records, Abominant have fine
tuned their sound and made changes from their previous albums. Abominant have
evolved into something like a more aggressive In Flames. Definitely more evil
too, which goes without saying. One or two of the solos do have a slight
Nocturnus felling to them, how cool is that? Vocally, Mike Barnes has much more
of a death metal voice than what you find coming out of Gothenburg these days as
well. To put things simply, the music here is heavy, melodic, and at time has a
slight war-metal sound.
